Create a New Fund

When donations are made to your organization, they can be designated to a specific fund to track the donations received from donors and analyze how the fund is performing.

The graphic below details the process for adding new fund records to Aegis CRM.

TIP: It is a best practice to search Aegis CRM for current records before adding a new record to the database.

To create a new fund, click Funds on the Navigation menu and then follow these steps.

  1. Click Add Fund.

  1. Enter details about the fund:
    1. The ID can be any string of up to 25 alphanumeric characters.
    2. The Name can be any string of up to 50 alphanumeric characters.
    3. The Description should clarify the purpose of the fund.
    4. The Goal identifies the dollar amount you want to raise with the fund.
  2. Mark the checkboxes to determine whether the fund is:
    1. Tax Deductible so donations received are exempt from tax payments.
    2. Restricted to ….
    3. Active so donations can be applied to the fund.
    4. Identified as a Gift in Kind.
  3. Click Insert.
