Merge Partners

UNDER REVIEW

Merging a partner record is recommended whenever there is a duplicate.  This keeps data quality high and saves unnecessary costs on postage and printing.  Duplicates can occur for example,  when a person refers to themselves as Donald when originating via one channel, but as Don when originating by another.  Some clues that a record may be duplicated are that the address and phone numbers are the same, or the constituent may call in and mention that he/she is getting "...multiple copies of everything."  Once identified, these records can be merged using the Merge Constituent page.  Care should be taken not to merge juniors and seniors, for instance, who might have the same name and be living at the same address. Constituent records can be flagged to Prevent Merging, alerting Aegis CRM users of circumstances such as this.

Once a duplicate record has been identified by contact ID, type them into the fields on the Merge Partners page.  CLICK HERE to continue with help on merging constituents.

Aegis CRM TIP! Merging can also be done in the Rapid Entry application.
