Appeals

UNDER REVIEW

Appeals are another powerful area of the Aegis CRM application. An Appeal is any form of communication that solicits a donation.  It can also be a source for Partners entering your database.  Direct mail, email, TV and radio are all examples of some of the channels where appeals can be communicated to partners in an effort to solicit donations.  Conferences, reply envelopes, email newsletters and websites are some examples of sources where partners can enter your database.  See New Appeal to learn how to set up an Appeal.

Appeals are generally associated with a code.  Generally, Bernardâ„¢ Data Solutions recommends that Users create appeal codes that will help in later identifying the Appeal (See also "Locate Appeal").  It is also wise to apply a date to the Appeal code.  For instance, if a partner was contacted at a conference in Dallas in 2006, the Appeal code could be ConfDal06.

Queries can be built to take advantage of Appeal codes by segmenting your data to include or exclude a specific code.  For instance, for partners who are already registered for an upcoming conference in Dallas, the Appeal code might beConfDal07.  A User could build a query that selects all of the email addresses within 200 miles of Dallas but excludes all records with the appeal code ConfDal07.  An email could then be sent to all of those in the area who have not registered, encouraging them to do so.
